Active networking & communications
Networking that connects users, systems and sites
Routing, LAN switching, enterprise Wi-Fi, VoIP, IP PABX and voice and video conferencing, delivered end to end from equipment selection to ongoing support.

Overview
What networking services does TF&RS provide?
TF&RS designs, supplies, installs and supports the active network layer: routing, switching, wireless LAN, VoIP, IP PABX and voice and video conferencing, for offices, enterprises and multi-branch organisations.
The work covers the whole lifecycle: choosing the equipment, installing it, configuring it for how your teams actually work, integrating it with what you already run, and supporting it afterwards.
Problems we solve
When the network holds the business back
Sites that don’t connect well
Branches and head office struggle to share systems reliably as the organisation grows.
Wi-Fi that doesn’t cover the floor
Dead zones and dropped connections because wireless was never properly planned.
Telephony that can’t scale
Legacy phone systems that are costly to extend across new offices and remote teams.

Routing & switching
The backbone between users and systems
Routing and traffic management sized to each site’s growth, with LAN switching and active network equipment from the access layer up to the core.
- Network routing and connectivity between sites
- Traffic-management infrastructure
- Access, distribution and core switching
- Active network equipment selection and setup

Wireless LAN
Wi-Fi engineered for real offices
Enterprise Wi-Fi planned around the actual space and the people using it, including controller setup and wireless security.
- Coverage planning for offices and enterprise spaces
- Controller setup and access point deployment
- Wireless security configuration
- Support once the network is live

Voice & collaboration
Calls and meetings on the network you already have
VoIP replaces legacy telephony with scalable, cost-efficient calling. IP PABX gives multi-branch organisations one telephony system, and conferencing technology supports hybrid and remote teams.
- VoIP migration from legacy telephony
- IP PABX for internal and multi-branch communication
- Voice and video conferencing for hybrid teams
- Integrated with switching and Wi-Fi

Does TF&RS provide network installation?
Yes. TF&RS handles equipment selection, installation, configuration and integration for routing, switching and wireless networks, then continues with ongoing technical support.
Does TF&RS support the network after installation?
Yes. Ongoing technical support is part of how TF&RS delivers networks, and it can be formalised through an AMC or SLA. See Managed Support, AMC & SLA.
What is the difference between VoIP and IP PABX?
VoIP (Voice over IP) is the technology of carrying calls over a data network instead of legacy phone lines. An IP PABX is the business telephone system built on it, handling extensions and internal communication, which is useful across multiple branches.
Can TF&RS work with multi-branch organisations?
Yes. Routing is sized to each site’s growth, and IP PABX supports internal communication across branches. One documented engagement was a scalable network upgrade for a major financial institution’s multi-branch operations.
